Goat Snuggling For A Good Cause! Make-A-Wish Foundation

On Monday my family got to experience the absolute coolest thing...baby goat snuggling!!

We are avid animal lovers and my dream is to own a small farm one day where we can live off of the land, own a few goats, pigs and horses and just keep to ourselves. Naturally when I found the goat snuggling event on Facebook I had to sign us up!

Like I mentioned, I found the event on FB and of course I had to secure a spot to spend the afternoon hanging out with baby goats. We selected and purchased a spot for a picnic and goat snuggling so that means we bought a packed lunch and a blanket and had a picnic among the horses, cows and goats and then later sat in our own personal fenced in area with a handful of baby goats and just snuggled them for an hour. When I say baby goats I’m talking goats anywhere from 2 weeks old to 6 weeks old, so these are really little, sweet goat babies. Talk about a relaxing and peaceful experience, especially with all that is going on in the world right now. We didn’t want to ever leave, lol.

The Batz Farm is located in Grantville, PA, close by to Hershey. It was only 50 minutes from us in Berks County, Pa and the drive was soooo with it!

The best part about the whole experience was that a portion of the money we paid for our spot ($55) will be contributed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help a child’s wish come true. The farm that we visited for this event, Batz Farm, participates in the truck convoy for Make-A-Wish each year and this event is one way that they raise money for the cause.

If you’d like to sign up for a goat snuggling session, you can do so HERE.

During our time on the Batz farm, it was made clear (with our own eyes) that the animals who call the farm home are so well taken care of. The cows were so happy, the horses were super friendly and not to mention how kind and generous the Batz family was. We will definitely be back for another snuggle sesh soon!! Thank you Batz Family for the amazing opportunity and for supporting such a great cause. We loved our time on the farm!
